Big day tomorrow — it’s Canada Day! 🍁To help you make the most of it, we’ve put together a list of the best activities to enjoy with your family. Whether you're planning to stay local or head out for some fireworks, there's something for everyone to celebrate our beautiful country.

Canada Day Celebrations – July 1
Family friendly free events by location:
Parliament Hill
Concerts, Changing of the Guard, and the iconic Snowbirds flyover at 4 PM.
Supreme Court of Canada Visit
This year marks the 150th anniversary of Canada’s highest court.
From 9am to 5pm.
LeBreton Flats Park
Live music, fireworks, climbing tower, giant bubbles, DJ sets & more
ByWard Market District
Music, art, vintage market & a kids zone
Old Hull
From noon to 4 p.m., guests of all ages can enjoy oversized interactive games, bounce around on inflatable structures, get their faces painted, and dance to the lively beats of a DJ.

Beacon Hill at Loyola Park - fireworks from 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Pineview at Meadowbrook Park from 10am to 3pm

Trend Arlington Community Centrefrom 5pm to 10pm
Greely at Greely Community Centre from noon to 10:30pm
Kanata – Otto’s Race at Sandwell Green Park from 8am to 11am

Orleans at Petrie Island from 8am to 11pm
Riverside South at Claudette Cain Park from 10am to 2pm, followed by fireworks from 8pm to 10pm
Stittsville at CARDELREC Recreation Complex from 6pm to 11pm

FREE Museums on Canada Day
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or later), these national museums are open free of charge:
Canadian Museum of Nature
Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
Canada Science and Technology Museum
Canada Aviation and Space Museum
Canadian War Museum (open until 7 p.m.)
Canadian Museum of History (also open until 7 p.m.)
Bank of Canada Museum (always free) s Mill and Dickinson House (always free)
📍 Additional Details
Canada Aviation & Space Museum is hosting a special Canada Day event (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) with interactive activities like drone demos, helicopter visits, fire safety demos, knitting, and Parks Canada’s Learn‑to‑Camp station—entry is free, but parking is $5.
Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum is open July 1, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at 50% off admission.
